Staff:
Conway Early Learning Program staff are carefully screened and trained before beginning work at the center. We hire people genuinely interested in providing children with loving quality care and educational experiences.

All employees (full time, part time and substitutes) must complete a criminal background check, T.B. Testing, First Aid/CPR, HIV/AIDS/Blood Borne Pathogens, 20 hours State Training And Registry System (STARS) Training, and orientation to guidance and discipline policies. In addition, staff receives ongoing in-service trainings to pursue formal education.

Parent-School Partnership:

Conway Early Learning Program strives to partner with families. You are the expert when it comes to your child. We strive for excellence as educators in the area of Early Childhood. Together, we make a great team. Following are some of the ways we can work together:

Visits and Observations: Our program practices and "open-door policy" for enrolled families. Parents are always welcome to visit the classroom you may arrange to visit the classroom to observe your child. Parents are encouraged to volunteer in their child's/children's classroom. You are encouraged to share a special interest, skill, or go on field trips.

An opportunity to maintain personal contact with parents is welcomed and encouraged. We do ask that you be sensitive to the needs of the children and therefore do not engage a staff person in conversations for more than a few minutes during his/her/ work time. For a long talk, a phone call or later meeting can be scheduled.

Parent Conferences: Teacher-initiated opportunities to discuss your child's development at the center are offered. In addition, you may request a conference at any time. Speak with your child's teacher to arrange a mutually convenient time.

Newsletters and Parent Bulletin Boards: We publish parent letters every week and maintain parent bulletin boards in the classrooms. Please check these frequently for useful information, news, events, and reminders regarding your child's care.

Additional Parent Responsibilities:

Be sure these important belongings are clearly marked with your child's name.
