August, 2018

Dear eighth graders and their families,

We hope you have had a fun and relaxing summer! We can’t wait to see everyone when the school year begins.  We are going to have a tremendous year with you folks as 8th graders!

Conway School’s Back to School Parade and Open House will be on Thursday, August 30th.  We hope you can stop by to say hello and find your locker.  If you can’t make it, we understand, and we will look forward to seeing you on the first day of school, which is Tuesday, September 4th.

You received a supply list for 8th grade last June. The school will also be emailing these supply lists to your parents sometime this month and a list has been put on the school web page. Please make sure you bring all of the supplies with you on the first day.  It helps to start the year prepared.

The girls’ Soccer and Cross Country seasons will start soon after the first day of school. Participating in these sports offers a great opportunity to have fun, meet new people from other schools and get in shape. Come and be a part of one of the teams. You will need to have a physical examination and the school’s Sports Participation Packet filled out before you are allowed to participate. These packets are available in the school office. If you participated in a sport last year, your physical is still valid, but you’ll need to fill out the other forms again.

Enjoy the last weeks of summer!  We will see you soon!

Sincerely,

Mr. Townsend

Cordialmente,

Sr. Townsend
